Built for the auditor’s questions, too.

Every governance buyer asks the same questions about software. These are our answers, read from our infrastructure code, our services and our published legal documents.

§01

Security and hosting

The controls the platform runs today.

Hosting

AWS London (eu-west-2)

Application, database, document storage and email sending run in the AWS London region. Our published sub-processor list names each provider and what it handles.

Database

PostgreSQL 15 on Amazon RDS, encrypted at rest

Automated daily backups in the 03:00–04:00 UTC window, kept for 35 days in production, with point-in-time restore inside that window.

Isolation

Row-level security

Each organisation’s rows are isolated by PostgreSQL row-level security, enforced in the database rather than only in application code.

Audit

Append-only audit log

Database triggers stop audit-log rows being changed or deleted outside the retention job. Officers can export their organisation’s audit log.

Sign-in

MFA and single sign-on

Authenticator-app MFA is available on every account, and organisations can turn on the sign-in check for members who have set it up. Single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID or Google.

Uploads

Infected files blocked

File types are validated before a document is served, and downloads of files flagged as infected or quarantined are blocked.

More detail on the security page.

§02

The procurement pack

What your DPO, finance officer and IT lead will ask for.

Need a security questionnaire answered or a DPIA input? Contact us and we will answer it from the same facts.

§03

Our commitments

The numbers procurement teams ask for, and where each comes from.

Breaches

Within 72 hours

We notify you without undue delay, and within 72 hours, of becoming aware of a personal-data breach (DPA §7).

Sub-processors

30 days’ notice

At least 30 days’ notice before a new sub-processor begins processing data.

Leaving

90 days, then deleted

After cancellation your data is kept for 90 days, with reminders, then deleted.

Prices

30 days’ notice

A price change cannot take effect sooner than 30 days after it is set.
§04

Your data, your control

Your data, exportable

Meetings, decisions, actions and members export to CSV; the audit log exports; packs and documents download as files; every user can download their own personal data.

Subject access and erasure

Built-in tools for subject access requests, with due-date reminders, and an erasure workflow.

No AI processing

Quorate does not send your content to any AI model provider, and no AI provider is a sub-processor.

Part 2 stays private

Confidential items and documents are excluded from public packs and the public portal; access is permission-controlled and audit-logged.

§05

Certifications and audits

What has and has not been completed.

None completed yet. A security questionnaire is available on request: send us yours and we will answer it line by line.

§06

Who provides Quorate

Quorate is provided by Zero Drift Ltd, company number 17202217, registered office The Glass House, Rhododendron Avenue, Meopham, Gravesend, England, DA13 0TT.

§07

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA and currently describe the platform as partially compliant, listing the known gaps in our accessibility statement. Public-sector customers subject to the 2018 accessibility regulations can use it when preparing their own statements.

Organisation branding colours are checked for contrast before they are saved, so a public portal cannot be themed into failing text contrast. Read the accessibility statement.
